The NFL is a difficult league to get into, not only is it hard to get into but it's nearly impossible to stay on a team if you aren't an elite player. With so much competition players who have had jobs in the NFL for years suddenly could find themselves without a job. Austin Collie is a perfect example of this. Collie has shown some good looks at the wide out spot for the New England Patriots this season and even had 2 catches on a game winning drive vs the Saints. However Collie was sent packing this week by the Patriots after suffering a knee injury that would likely keep him out for a while.
